Settio ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Information We Collect
- Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your name and email address from Google's authentication service.
- Profile information: The display name and profile photo you choose within Settio.
- Expense data: Groups, expenses, and settlements you create within the app.
- Push notification token: A device token used to deliver group activity notifications. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
- Crash and performance data: Error reports via Sentry to help us diagnose and fix issues.
How We Use Your Information
- To create and maintain your Settio account.
- To provide, sync, and improve the Settio service.
- To share expense and settlement data with other members of your groups.
- To send push notifications about group activity.
- To diagnose crashes and fix bugs.
Sign-In Methods
Settio supports two sign-in methods:
- Email and password: Your email address is stored securely via Supabase Auth. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.
- Sign in with Google: We use Google OAuth to authenticate you. We receive your name and email address from Google. We do not receive your Google password.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Your expense and group data is shared only with other members of your groups. We use the following third-party services:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
- Sentry — error tracking and crash reporting.
- Google — optional OAuth sign-in.
Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion by contacting us at richardyoo1001@gmail.com. Upon deletion, your account, profile, and any groups you solely own will be permanently removed.
Children's Privacy
Settio is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
